Willy Felice about her work: 
“my work is inspired by poetry, 
especially Arabic poetry and 
calligraphy. This is the source of
inspiration for a lot of my 
paintings. They come to life
when light radiates on the colour 
combinations of oil paint on a
subsurface of thin gold leaf and 
copper. For twenty years, I have 
experimented with these sheet 
metals. Sometimes I achieve the 
desired effect immediately and at
other times I work layer by layer 
until I find the right balance”. I 
hope the viewer can travel with
me on my journey to art 
through light.
