For years Angelique van den Born 
(1959) has combined her work as a 
teacher of Drawing/Handicraft in
Primary and Primary Education with 
her activities as an artist. She still 
likes to teach during workshops. 
She has made a lot of progress with 
work in which SPORT was the theme. 
Within this theme there is still work 
available and she makes commissions, 
but since the last 10 years she has 
been focusing more and more on her 
development, in which there is 
certainly room for the Abstract. There 
are many themes in her work that pass. 
There is a lot that excites her and 
choosing is not her thing. A popular 
theme is ”ANTIQUE” in the broad 
sense of the word: Erosion of Nature 
and Architecture, but also Classical 
Antiquity and its mythology. She 
paints colorfully with acrylic paint 
and her love for the smooth watercolor 
technique is reflected in her working 
method. After a long road of 40 years 
of practice, she now proudly 
displays her latest work.
