The love for humans and animals 
is expressed in everything that 
Joke van Olm-Koenen paints, in 
her free work but also in the 
assignments she receives. Her 
work is highly appreciated and 
hangs all over the world. She 
makes portraits, as well as dogs 
and cats, as well as wildlife, still 
lifes and landscapes in oil on 
panel. Her challenge lies in 
approaching reality as closely as 
possible. The realistic fine painting 
technique that she uses, the color 
structure, depth and details make 
one wonder: "Is it a photo or not?"
