He has found an appealing motif in architecture. The buildings he depicts have a characteristic rhythm and a titillating, hypnotic appeal. Sometimes they are almost 2-dimensional facades that are reminiscent of abstract paintings. Another time he makes use of perspective and symmetry, whereby your gaze as a viewer is sucked in. Paul Brouns has won several international awards and his work is collected and exhibited worldwide; from New York, Moscow, London to Tokyo. In 2022, the Personal Structures exhibition will follow during the Venice Art Biennale.
